The excitement is brewing at the award winning ‘Old Coast Road Brewery’ enjoy a relaxing lunch while the children are occupied with the playground activities. Our Ha Ve Harvey Cheese Factory is becoming a popular tourist attraction and offers you a taste of their award winning range of cheeses.

At the Harvey Tourist Precinct behind the Harvey Visitor Centre is Stirling Cottage, a delightful tearoom, a replica of 1880’s homestead built by the first Governor of WA – Governor Stirling. Sit on the balcony overlooking the tranquil Harvey River then take a stroll around the surrounding extensive Heritage Gardens. Also a part of the Working Life Trail.

May Gibbs (creator of those adorable gumnut babies, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie) lived in the original Stirling Cottage during her childhood. It is believed that May drew much of her inspiration for her bush stories and illustrations from her experiences while living in Harvey. We have dedicated a display area to rekindle your childhood memories for your enjoyment.

Explore the unique mosaic entrances at Myalup, Binningup and Harvey with additional mosaics displayed throughout the Harvey Shire. The Harvey main street boasts large murals depicting Harvey country lifestyle and history. The Mosaics and Murals were designed by a local artist.

The ‘‘Big Orange’’ is now 14m high. Climb the ‘Big Orange’ – Harvey WA which is situated amongst the flourishing orange trees at the Harvey Fresh orchard. The ‘Butterfly Tree’ at the Harvey Visitor Centre, Heritage Gardens will delight the happy wanderers who pass by.

Watch a cow being milked at ‘White Rocks – Brunswick Junction’ (by appointment only)heritage park, one of the highlights on the Working Life Trail.

The Harvey Dam & Amphitheatre is one of our major South West Attractions; the facilities available include an amphitheatre for concerts etc, boardwalks, playground, gazebos, picnic tables, free gas barbeques and toilets. There are several bush walks in the area and great bird watching at Benger Swamp and the Leschenault Inlet.

Opening Hours:

The Harvey Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week and is also home to the famous ‘Moo Shoppe’ which stocks the largest range of cow merchandise in the south west.
