News Update May 2012:  Harvey Tyrepower named Tyrepower International Dealer of the Year winning from 260 dealerships in Australia and New Zealand.

The Harvey dealership won the coveted Tyrepower Dealer of the Year award at the 2011 Tyrepower Gala Dinner at the Duxton Hotel.

There are 52 Tyrepower stores in WA and the Harvey store was the toast of the group.

Proprietor-manager Garry Maunders said he was ‘‘rocked’’ to hear the announcement at the dinner.

‘‘We had no idea that it was going to be us,’’ he said.

The award was presented to the Maunders by Tyrepower’s WA general manager Frank Murger.

He commended Harvey Tyrepower for excellence in maintaining the standards and ethos of the group.

Next May the Maunders will be travelling to Phuket for the announcement of the International Dealer of the Year for which they have now qualified.

Harvey Tyrepower is a family run enterprise.

Garry and Maree Maunders bought the business in July 1984 after moving down from the Pilbara.

Their daughter Kate and son-in-law Chris Lee recently joined the business.

The dealership services the farming industry of the region and an expanding industrial base.

In October 2011 a major upgrade of the office and showrooms was completed to meet the growing demand.
